It was the 17th of February, which was a Saturday. And Saturday means it's our grocery day because we go to the market every Saturday to buy vegetables, fruits, and other things for the upcoming week. So, after a bit of effort and feeling a bit tired, we came home, had a good meal, and then got ready to go out to a very cute place for a stroll - Zaandam.
Zaandam is a historic town in the Netherlands, located near Amsterdam. Famous for its picturesque windmills and charming wooden houses, Zaandam offers a glimpse into Dutch tradition and culture. The town's industrial heritage is evident in its preserved mills and warehouses, now transformed into museums and shops.
We wandered around, took some nice pictures, did a little shopping, and spent some good quality time together. All in all, we had a great time, bought souvenirs on our way back, and then went to an Indian restaurant to eat, to be precise, my favorite banana fritters, and then finally went home.
